Novak Djokovic (SRB) ----------- Roger Federer (SUI)
MATCH POINT: As a Fed fan, I would love nothing more than to see the Swiss reach yet another Wimby final, but as a realist I can’t pick with my heart here. Usually I’d let their recent form dictate my pick, but remember Roger was on a tear entering his French Open semifinal with Djoker and he laid a goose egg. It is clear that he has the tools and world-class game to knock off the world number one Serb, but until he shows that he’s mentally ready to do so, I’m backing off the upset.

MATCH POINT: Murray matches up much better against Tsonga than he did against Ferrer, in the quarters. The Frenchman’s game doesn’t pose nearly as many problems as that of the Spaniard’s. Murray can use his great defense and return game to neutralize Tsonga’s power and big forehand. Most importantly, his relatively low unforced error count and end-to-end clutch play, in the big moments against Ferrer, showed me he’s embracing the pressure of stealing Nadal’s reservation in the final. Tsonga won’t go down quietly, but with this being Murray’s best chance to reach the Wimby final, I have to tilt the Scot.
